The Story of Vivienne & Mae

A Mother. A Dream. And the Little Girl Who Changed Everything.

In 1994, Vivienne opened her first boutique in the heart of Miami with nothing but $800, a sewing kit, and an unshakeable belief: that every woman deserves to feel beautiful.

She called it Vivienne. It was small. It was hers. And for years, it was everything.

The women of Miami found her. Word spread quietly, the way it does when something is truly special. Vivienne knew her customers by name, by style, by the way their faces lit up when they found the right piece. For nearly two decades, she built something rare. A place where fashion felt personal.

Then, in 2014, something happened that changed Vivienne's life forever.

Mae was born.

And just like that, the boutique became something bigger than a store. It became a legacy. She renamed it on the spot. From that day forward, it was Vivienne & Mae.

But the years that followed weren't easy. The world was changing fast. Big online retailers were swallowing small boutiques whole. Customers who once walked through her door were now shopping from their couches. There were nights Vivienne sat alone in the shop, looking at little Mae asleep in her arms, wondering if she could hold on.

She almost didn't.

But then she looked at her daughter. At that tiny face. At the name on the window.

And she decided: not on Mae's watch.

Vivienne fought back. She reimagined the store from the ground up. New collections, handpicked with the same love she always had. A presence online, built piece by piece. And slowly, beautifully, the women came back.

Today, in 2026, Vivienne & Mae is thriving. Vivienne is still behind the counter, still pulling pieces off the rack and saying "this one was made for you." And Mae, now 12 years old, grows up right here between the clothing racks, just like her mother once dreamed she would.

32 years. One name change. Countless beautiful women dressed with love.

This anniversary sale is our thank you. To every woman who believed in us, especially when it was hard.

With all our love, Vivienne & Mae 🤍
